AIAA DBF Rules Released

It's finally time.

On August 29th, the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics released their rules for their 29th AIAA Design/Build/Fly competition. Over the last couple of weeks, AMAT has been brainstorming ideas for their entry to the competition. We have decided on a carbon fiber rod fuselage with a conventional staggered tail and high mounted rectangular wing. Our team will continue to conduct trade studies and research further into this configuration. With the September 30th, critical design review (CDR) coming up, there's little to waste. Here's a picture of a decision matrix from one of our meetings.

We look forward to continuing our research and design evaluations as the new competition season enters!
